I have always loved the appaloosa color patterns and for many years we owned full sized appys, even though they were extremely unpopular in our area. When our son was born we realized that we didn't have the time for the pleasures of riding and because we spent a lot of time in Omaha's Children's Hospital for his surgeries, we could not be at home to care for our horses, so decided that they must go. We missed our horses, and as our son got older we wanted to have a few around again, but were afraid that he would get hurt. Then we discovered miniatures! In 1991 we purchased our first miniature "Crescents Wonder Boy" a little champion sired pinto stallion. The next year we purchased a couple of mares to go with him. And while we loved him and the mares, I missed seeing those rich appaloosa colors in our pastures. In 2002 we were given the opportunity to purchase a beautiful little appaloosa colt sired by Carousel Designer Legacy. When the transport came and unloaded him, it was love at first sight for me. He was so beautifully proportioned in such a small package, truely a horse in miniature. Gradually we have purchased appy bred mares to breed him to, and we now have 5 mares and Warrior By Design CR, our beautiful little stallion, running in the pastures of our small acreage.
